Tunable Metamaterials

Applying the technology developed in the field of RF MEMS opens up the possibility of creating tunable metamaterials in the RF, microwave and millimeter wave frequency range.  In collaboration with Prof. David Smith and Prof. Nan Jokerst’s groups at Duke University, we are exploring the possibility of actively-tuned metamaterials in the millimeter-wave range for automotive radar applications. This work is performed with external support from Toyota Technology Center.
